Prototyping & Headquarters

At Portsmouth Guildhall

The Makers Guild Headquarters is situated within one of the most iconic buildings in Portsmouth. Completely transformed from what was previously a disused storage room, now it is home to complete randomness and a hive of activity.

Opened in 2017, current resident creatives work in glass, leather, woodwork, as well as across digital fabrication and engineering, arts and crafts, and much much more. One of our most successful resident companies to date is the Small Robot Company.

This ever changing space adapts to new and developing requirements from our makers - it has had many sudden makeovers, as and when, to suit the needs of our creative collective. Currently it is set up for resin casting, 3D printing, glass fusing, leather, woodwork, jewellery smithing, and also the site for our office & where we build and prototype most of our projects.
